D.O.T. Audits
D.O.T. is performing audits on many companies in the area. Please make sure you have all your records available in the event you are called. If you do not have the records, give us a call if necessary and we will supply you with them.
D.O.T. will be looking for the following:
- REPORTS - Quarterly and yearly reports, including the MIS end of year report.
- PREEMPLOYMENT AND RETURN TO DUTY DRUG SCREENING - You must show a return to duty drug screen for any employee that has been laid off for the winter and out of the random pool that is now returning, or a preemployment drug screen for any employee recently hired by your company.
- SUBSTANCE ABUSE POLICY - You will have to provide DOT with a copy of your substance abuse policy.
- SUPERVISORY TRAINING CERTIFICATE - You must provide date and certificate showing your training in reasonable suspicion observation.
- SUBSTANCE AUBSE BACKGROUND CHECK ON NEW HIRES - You must provide proof of performing a 3 year substance abuse background check on your new hires.
